In the past ten years, thre are more and more foreigners going to China to take a teaching job or entering chinese families as a child teachers.
The European and American Au Pair program has been becoming more and more popular. In the China Au Pair programs, foreign teachers stay with Chinese families at different cities and teach their children English while learning Chinese culture and language on the way. Many of them get chances to spend vacation time with the host family during the holiday seasons.
Besides learning the culture and language (Yes, they take free Chinese classes), the Au Pair teachers also get paid by the family and live and eat free. The host family also pay certain amount for health insurance and flight ticket purchase depending on the duration (from 3 months to 12 months) a foreign teacher will spend with the family. The foreign teachers also get opportunities to meet with other teachers periodically for social networking.
